The Triple-Berry Margarita features blackberries, raspberries and strawberries along with the traditional lime juice and orange liqueur of a margarita.
The directions below are for making it slushy and blended, but you can also just put the berry mixture and other ingredients in a pitcher with ice and stir thoroughly to chill and serve it that way.
Recipe
- 1/2 pint blackberries
- 1 1/2 pints raspberries
- 2 pints strawberries, sliced
- 1/2 cup lime juice
- 2/3 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 cups gold tequila
- 2/3 cup Grand Marnier
- 2 1/2 cups ice
Rim 8-10 glasses with sugar. Put the blackberries, raspberries, strawberries and lime juice in a blender and blend until pureed. Strain through a cheesecloth or fine mesh strainer into a pitcher. Add the berry mixture, sugar, tequila and Grand Marnier into a blender with 2 1/2 cups of ice, and blend until smooth. Pour into the glasses and garnish with lime.
