Good champagne cocktails are a little bit hard to come by. So many of them are a little on the strange side. The San Remo cocktail is definitely different. It blends champagne with grapefruit juice and some orange liqueur. It’s a lot like the Mimosa, but more exciting.
The San Remo is fairly strong on the alcohol, and therefore not intended to be a brunch cocktail. But don’t let that stop you. It’s probably at its very best as an after dinner drink.
- 3 ounces champagne
- 1/2 ounce triple sec
- 1/2 ounce mandarin liqueur
- 1 ounce white grapefruit juice
Pour all the ingredients into a champagne flute – no shaking, no stirring. Garnish with an orange twist.
