Rum Cobbler

The Rum Cobbler is pretty simple – in fact, the garnish is the hardest part. The core ingredients are dark rum and club soda, with a teaspoon of superfine sugar.

Rum Cobbler drink with orange slicePin

This is a fairly sweet but not fruity drink. This is a cocktail that lets the flavor of the rum shine through rather than using it as a mixer for lots of fruity ingredients.

Recipe

  • 1 teaspoon superfine sugar
  • 3 ounces club soda
  • 2 ounces dark rum
  • maraschino cherry
  • orange wheel
  • lemon wheel

Pour the club soda into an old-fashioned glass. Add the sugar, stirring to dissolve it. Fill the glass most of the way with crushed ice. Pour the rum and stir again. Garnish with the cherry and wheels of orange and lemon.
