The Perfect Cocktail is clearly someone’s idea of a perfect cocktail, hence the name. But of course we’re never all going to agree on what the perfect cocktail is!

And I’m not sure this one would win a majority vote in any case – it uses both kinds of vermouth plus gin, and I meet a lot of people who can’t stand any or all of those ingredients. But if you can, and you’re looking for something that’s kind of reminiscent of a gin martini but definitely its own drink, this might be the one you’re looking for.
Recipe
- 1 1/2 teaspoon sweet vermouth
- 1 1/2 teaspoon dry vermouth
- 1 1/2 ounces gin
- 1 dash bitters
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour in the ingredients and shake until chilled. Strain the mixture into a martini glass.
