Midnight Oil

The Midnight Oil shot got its name from its appearance: it looks a little like oil. It’s basically three parts amaretto to one part Jägermeister. This shooter is better savored than chugged.

The flavor in this one is nutty and sweet with notes of mint and black licorice in the background, coming from the Jägermeister. It’s a little bit complex and may not be for everyone, but it’s worth a try.

Enjoy a Midnight Oil whenever you’re in the mood for something a little sweet. It’s a nice light dessert drink, but it’s equally good as a night cap – especially if you are in fact burning the midnight oil. It also pairs well with light desserts, pastries and servings of fruit.
