This is one of those wonderful Kahlua drinks that feels like a boozy milkshake for grown-ups. It makes an excellent dessert that’s thick and rich and so, so cold.

This recipe calls for “three chocolate cookies”, which is rather vague. Could be chocolate chip, Oreos, almost anything. I used Fudge Stripe cookies because (a) I had them on hand and (b) I thought the blond part of the cookie would add some nice buttery flavor, and it did.

But I think other types of cookies would work well too, although the type you use will influence the texture and character of the drink a little.

There’s a lot of vanilla flavor in this one, but that only mellows the rich coffee-chocolate flavor from the Kahlua. It tastes a little bit like a White Russian, but the texture is more like a DQ Blizzard.
