Elf Tea

The Elf Tea cocktail is essentially a lovely lemon iced tea flavored with a healthy dose of peppermint liqueur. Needless to say, it’s tasty and very drinkable. But you don’t need to save it for summertime.

My suggestion: double all the ingredients to make a nice long drink that’s still not even a double (just two ounces of liqueur), kick back, relax and really enjoy yourself. Of course, if you want to raise the amount of peppermint liqueur or switch to peppermint schnapps, I won’t tell anybody.

Recipe

  • 1 ounce peppermint liqueur
  • 3 ounces iced tea
  • 1 ounce fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

Fill a highball glass with ice cubes. Pour in the peppermint liqueur and the iced tea, and stir well. Add sugar to taste, and stir again. Squeeze half a lemon into the drink and serve with a straw for – you guessed it – more stirring.
