Catalina Margarita

The Catalina Margarita uses peach schnapps to create something different from the traditional margarita. The strongest note is citrus, which mellows into the peach.

This drink is a great alternative not only to other types of margaritas, but to something like Sex on the Beach. It’s tart and peachy, and definitely on the sweet side. It also comes out a lovely shade of green or blue, depending whether your peach schnapps is clear or not.

Recipe

• 1 1/2 ounces tequila
• 1 ounce peach schnapps
• 1 ounce blue curacao
• 4 ounces sour mix

Fill a cocktail shaker with cracked ice, pour everything in and shake well. Strain the mixture into a chilled margarita glass.
