Carmel Coke

I have a feeling the Carmel Coke is actually a “caramel Coke”, and whoever named it misspelled “caramel” based on the other accepted pronunciation which is “car-mull.”

Whatever the name’s all about, this is a blend of butterscotch schnapps with cola, and the result does taste rather like caramel. If you have droolingly fond memories of state fairs serving all kinds of flavored cola, this is the adult version that’s been missing from your life for all this time. Think of it as a flavored cola with a kick, and you get the idea.

Recipe

• 1 shot butterscotch schnapps
• 6 ounces Coca-Cola

Fill a highball glass with ice. Add the cola, then the schnapps. Stir and serve.
