The Stone Sour is a slightly frothy blend of almond and lemon flavors. It’s not too far from an Amaretto Sour in flavor, but with less alcohol.
This drink is sweet and sour, with the egg white taking the edges off both flavors. It’s a great drink for an evening out – think of it as an alternative to the Amaretto Sour.
- 2 ounces amaretto
- 1 ounce lemon juice
- 1/2 ounce gomme syrup (or simple syrup)
- 1 egg white (or egg substitute)
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour in all the ingredients and shake very thoroughly to get the egg white completely mixed in. Strain the mixture into a martini glass.
